In 1999, a fire at the joint in Port Louis, Mauritius, killed seven individuals. The fire began throughout riots that followed a disputed football last between the Catholic Fire Brigade and the Muslim supported Scouts Club.


Police apprehended dozens of suspects, and four men were later on founded guilty of arson and murder. They ended up being called the L'Amicale 4.
