Apex Legends: Respawn Entertainment Explains Season 7 Battle Pass Changes

From The Bioremediation Network

Dropping almost out of the blue on Electronic Art’s Origin platform last Monday, Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends has picked up an incredible amount of steam in the few days it’s been available for download. In a space seemingly cluttered with dime-a-dozen Fortnite wannabes, EA’s new title, which is set in the Titanfall universe, is proving to be a legitimate contender in the extremely competitive battle royale Arena Of Valor PC guide. Time will tell if it manages to maintain a sizable player-base, but, for the moment, it certainly has everyone’s attent

After securing the rights to the title, Nintendo could've very well put the project on the back burner. This is likely for a couple of reasons, the first being stated above. The developers likely set their sights on a more profitable project for the Zelda franchise. The release of Link's Awakening coupled with the multiple partner projects Nintendo has had going with DeNA gives plenty of reason to put the project on h

Unsurprisingly, Persona 5 also won its own category (RPG) when Famitsu did a survey about that, Dragon Quest III also ranked second then, but Chrono Trigger , that ranked third, fared worse in this survey. NieR: Automata , on the other hand, held fast in 4th place in both surv

Recently, Respawn Entertainment made changes to Apex Legends ' new Battle Pass in response to the player backlash. Afterwards, the developer was asked on the game's subreddit why the developer made the initial changes to the Season 7 pass to begin with. The game director, Chad Grenier, provided a lengthy reply on the subject to dispel any unease over the mat

In the post, Grenier responded to user Ender112 who asked why Respawn made the changes to Apex Legends' latest Battle Pass and if it was a disingenuous move by the developer. He stated that the team made the changes with the players' interests in mind and are not trying to play "negotiation games" with them. He emphasized that the developers weren't trying to incentivize players into buying more battle pass levels for the game, and were only trying to make the best game possi

Trying to imagine carrying out the intricate controls most 2D fighters require for special moves and complex combos is mildly perplexing, but Dragon Ball Legends employs a more simplistic approach. The player is able to dodge attacks and move about the screen by the use of a virtual thumbstick on the touch screen and attack by tapping on different attack cards. It sounds a bit strange to use a card based system for something as frenetic as a Dragon Ball Z face off, but surprisingly this approach works quite well.

Because as consumers we like to compare similar titles, Dragon Ball Legends does not replicate Dragon Ball FighterZ in a more portable form, but that would be an unrealistic expectation when the respective hardware is compared. Dragon Ball Legends does, however, seem to provide a competent touchscreen fighter that captures the fast paced mayhem of the franchise and some of their more popular video games. Dragon Ball Legends is a free-to-play fighter that features optional in-app purchases. It's slated for release sometime in summer and will be available in 52 countries.

A new job listing on Respawn Entertainment's website seems to suggest that a mobile version of Apex Legends is currently in the works. While the job listing itself says the company is looking for a senior game designer to work on "unannounced mobile games," it is under the Apex Legends section of the site, making it pretty obvious that the games in question are likely related to Apex Legen

Grenier would go on to state that Respawn's goal was to keep players engaged throughout the new season and not wrong them. When Respawn received the immediate feedback, the developer went straight to work on rectifying the past alterations to the Battle Pass. The changes are supposed to be 50% easier to complete, and there will be more changes to come with the recent feedback kept well in m

These job listings seem to affirm what some players were feeling following a recent leak: Apex Legends has a long life ahead of it. A recent leak by Biast12 seems to indicate that Respawn Entertainment already has plans for the next 7 legends coming to Apex Legends . And while these legends won't be coming for a while, many players felt reassured that Apex Legends is here to s

It’s no secret that Electronic Arts is eager to muscle in on territory previously claimed by games like Fortnite and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds , and, since those games have long since received mobile translations , it makes sense that the publisher would want to combat the competition on every possible fr
