I could probably go on for way longer about my love for Overwatch . Its characters like Tracer, Winston, Mei, D.Va, and so many others are all instantly memorable and iconic, with the entire roster of characters being fun to play and filled with endless quirks and characteristics. Its visual design is lively, fun, and unique as players are engaged in fast-paced action across the world. And, of course, its gameplay loop of cooperation and teamwork has had me endlessly hooked since launch, with every match leading to rewards and honing my skills, whether they end in success or fail

As we love free speech and artistic expression on the internet, this could be seen as a classic case of a big company flexing its mighty legal muscles, but to be fair to Blizzard, it isn't as clear cut as that. Many innocent searches for "overwatch" led to adult-oriented material instead of game information. That's not great for something rated "T for Teen". Some fans saw this as censorship and worried about the precedent it set, but the controversy died down before it escalated into anything bigger. In the end, only a specific subset of content featuring in-game models ripped from the original code was taken down due to copyright infringem

Of course, multiplayer is what Call of Duty is all about, and Raven Software has put a lot of time and effort into remastering the experience. Everything you had in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is here, and then there’s some new content thrown in, as well. First off, the game launches with ten maps - Ambush, Backlot, Bog, Crash, Crossfire, District, Downpour, Overgrown, Shipment, and Vacant – with the remaining six - Bloc, Countdown, Pipeline, Showdown, Strike, and Wet Work – coming in December. Then you have all the guns, attachments, perks, and game modes from the original game. While there are no new weapons, Raven has included new weapon skins to unlock through challenges. A new inspect mode (accessed by pressing down on the d-pad) allows you to view your skins up close in-game. There are also new character patches and weapon stickers to place on your character and gun for a little extra personalization, and best of all, none of these items are locked beyond Supply Drops. There are even a few new game modes such as Kill Confirmed thrown in.


Tracer seems to be a bit of a controversy magnet, all things considered. When the Overwatch beta released, a chunk of the fanbase had a problem with one of Tracer's victory poses. The stance was called "Over the Shoulder", and it featured Tracer from behind looking back at the camera (seen above on the left). One user took to the Blizzard forums to complain at length, stating that giving Tracer a standard sexy pose undermined the whole point of the character.
