8 Things That Make No Sense In Don t Starve
In the Hook, Line & Inker update, the fishing mechanic of Don't Starve Together was overhauled to include Ocean Fish. No longer is there just the plain Fish and a slimy Eel, but 18 fancy new Fish that can only be caught using the Sea Fishing
If left in the chest slot it will last one full day, and cost 2.7 Nightmare Fuel to fully charge it. When stacked with the Walking Cane (or Lazy Explorer) and a Tam O' Shanter the player can run around at a 50 percent speed boost and negate the Sanity drain of most Nightmare cycles in the Ruins. Being a relic from an ancient civilization it is a little costly to craft, putting you back two Thulecite, three Nightmare Fuel, and a Yellow Gem. If the Construction Amulet is equipped this will cut the number of Thulecite necessary, but not the Gem.
Tallbirds are always a surprise the first time a player encounters them. With their large eye and long legs, they are fascinating to observe. But, unfortunately, they are also incredibly protective of their eggs, chasing off players that get too cl
There are plenty of creative ways to counteract Krampus. For example, summoning Krampus at night will often mean it will spawn asleep. Players can also set up decoy chests, surrounded by traps to tempt Krampus away from essential items. Overall, Krampus is a fun addition that keeps naughty players on their t
An axe would seem like the perfect weapon against a wood-based enemy since it is the tool of choice for cutting down trees. However, logic is thrown aside once more since the axe deals less damage to Treeguards than the sp
The Thulecite Club is another great combination item, this time bringing together speed and pain. The Thulecite Club is a great weapon on its own, dishing out nearly 60 damage and summoning baby Shadow Tentacles to add another 34 damage to anything dumb enough to stick around. If the mobs you find yourself beating up do have the sense to run, this weapon will help you keep up with its 10 percent extra movement speed.
WX-78 is one of the playable characters in Don't Starve . WX-78 is described as "a heartless machine with a deep dislike for any carbon-based life form." Although WX-78 is a robot and is heartless, it appears that they're not missing a skele
Ice cream is difficult to make as it requires dairy products and ice, both of which are quite rare items. While it doesn't have much effect on hunger or health, ice cream restores 50 sanity points making it a great meal for keeping the player sane and free from shambling monstrosit
Now this is a fish you don't want to leave on your very flammable Boat for long. As usual, Klei is quite literal when it comes to naming its mobs, so expect the Scorching Sunfish to act as a 70-degree heat source whether you're holding it in your inventory, or leaving it on the floor. If your Boat catches on fire and loses all 200 Health, you're going to need to revive yourself on l
What doesn't make sense is that the Bucket-o-poop cannot be used as fire fuel, unlike manure. The Bucket-o-poop is merely manure stored in a bucket rather than your pockets, which I imagine would create all sorts of cleaning nightmares. Why the manure from the bucket cannot be thrown into a fire to fuel it is beyond comprehens
Catcoons are initially neutral to the player and will not bother them too much. However, these creatures can be befriended if they are gifted toys or FPS Games walkthrough food and will follow the player around for a short time. The catcoon will also return the favor, spitting up their own gifts to the player like it was a hairball. If a catcoon is friendly to a player, these gifts can be more practical, such as various seeds or even g
There are no drinkable liquids in the game for the player, not even water, and you survive merely off food. In the real world, it's generally accepted you will die without water after three days. This makes sense in the case of some characters like the robot WX-78 where liquid would prove to be detrimental, but human characters and especially the plant-based character Wormwood would be expected to require water. Perhaps each character is actually a cactus in disgu
The mangrove forest provides more food stuffs than just meat. Per Great Tree Trunk there are usually three to five Mossy Vines which produce Figs every 20 minutes. Figs cannot be grown on land in your Farm Plots, and when fed to a caged Bird won't provide any Seeds for it. So stock up when you're visiting as Figs can create their own delicious Crock Pot recipes , such as Figatoni for 30 Health, 56 Hunger and 15 Sanity, or Fig-Stuffed Trunk for 60 Health and 56 Hunger. Figatoni is great for vegetarian characters such as Wurt and Wes .
The environment of Don't Starve is as hostile as it is beautiful. As well as monsters, poisonous mushrooms, and swarms of angry wildlife, food can also expire after a set number of days making it toxic to cons
The doydoys are Don't Starve's equivalent of the dodo. The species was introduced in the Don't Starve: Shipwrecked expansion. Unfortunately, there are only two doydoys in existence, and they spawn on separate islands. It is down to the player to reunite the two and save the species from the brink of extinction. The doydoys, once reunited, will start to repopulate very quic
