The story and side quests are progressed through standard dialogue trees along with phone calls and text messages, which is a feature that also helps bring Night City to life. One of the more interesting features is the detective modes when viewing a Brain Dance to help solve a crime. Watching video is a common practice in investigating a mystery, but thanks to V's cybernetic enhancements the videos can be inspected by isolating the visual, audio or thermal layers to undercover clues that wouldn't be available in standard viewing.


Cyberpunk 2077 is full of side quests in which fans can engage. From missions assigned by fixers to assisting the Night City Police Department (NCPD), V has options. These activities are beneficial to the more than completionists, as killing enemies (where applicable) and looting them provides valuable items players can sell. Using the Pack Mule perk (increases carrying capacity by 60), filling up V’s inventory by looting every foe in an area is a great way to acquire a bulk of items to sell to vend
